Dignity lacking in some single...

Well I think all of Hilary Duff CD lacked promotion but with some more singles ... clear case of self-titled album that was only with the release of FLY as a single.
But there will be this post to see which songs from the album Dignity in particular would have liked to see as their own.
In my opinion they could have released two more singles, which I must have been like "Gypsy Woman" first, and "Between you and me" Then, perhaps they could have closed the album released as a single "Dignity" song that gives name at the disc.
I would like to know your opinions and know what songs they would have chosen ...

i'd love to have seen "Gypsy Woman" and "Happy" be turned into singles. both haven immense potential to have broken Hilary into a more atmospheric Pop that Gaga has now made her own.

anyway dignity was also one of my favorite tracks on the album and i'm sure with the right promotion it had been a (at least a minor) hit, didn't it chart on the irish charts?

At the time, "Dignity" could have made a good single because it related well with the Hollywood messes Paris, Lindsay, Britney, etc.

"Gypsy Woman" was what everyone was into at the time. That would most likely have worked because not only was it generic in terms of sound, the lyrics were a bit controversial.

"Happy" would have made a good single because of the ironic lyrics mixed with the dark music. Possibly the most relatable song on the record to relationships. Caught between telling yourself that you're truly happy without the person, but you're still miserable.

That's about it. "Danger" & OOY were too dance for 2007 & 2008, though they'd probably fit in perfectly now. Tracks 6, 8, 9, 13 simply wouldn't have worked. "No Work, All Play" & "Burned" were different but that wouldn't guarantee success.

Gpysy Woman could have easily became Hilary's biggest hit to date. Danger would have been a smash hit in the UK. Luis said everything that I wanted to say.

Dignity has clearly a lot of super hit singles. pitty that those song weren't release.

In my opinion 'Outside Of You' is one of the best songs of Dignity. Allthough she didn't wrote that song, but it was absolutly perfect. I know a lot of hilary haters. Almost everybody was surprised by her vocals and the song in general..

I think gypsy woman is a song that you like, or don't like. When I heard that song for the very first time I didn't like it because of the weird instrumental, but that was also a reason why I decided to play the song more and more.. and so I began to love that song. I'm sure that gypsy woman would have been a smash hit.

No Work All Play, happy and burned would have been good choices too.

I still can't believe why this album isn't re-released. Dignity is her best album ever and reach out and holiday should have been released to (as single of dignity).....

Alot of my friends loved Gypsy Woman, that would have been a Great single if she realeased that instead of Stranger

But I think Danger would've fit well with the end of 08's sound!

Their nothing alike. One deals with the woman who caused the cheating and another deals with the seperation between two people when one person is not engaged in the relationship.
Also the music is very different. The Rhythm structures and hooks are very very different. They are simply two entirely different songs.

It's actually also really pitty that nothing happend with the 'to be continued' part of with love. It would have been epic if she had 2 related vids. That don't happen to much, so it would have been very special.
