Greta: confirmed for straight-to-DVD release

It looks like the most-awaited Hilary film is going to be released unnoticed.

Icon Movies UK has confirmed that Greta will be coming out straight-to-DVD in early 2010. The closest thing we got to ?theatrical? was a pointless private advanced screening where a few lucky fans were able to watch it in advance.

Three years of waiting and all we get is this? I personally think it?s the distributors? fault.

Some more info for you aswell about Greta, that was also posted on Imdb, that someone contacted Voltage Pictures and they have replied:

but then they contacted icon in UK & they have said:

Um the UK can't distribute in the USA because Anchor Bay already has bought the film rights for the USA. I believe they are talking about UK only here as "Spread" (another Anchor Bay film bought from Voltage) was released to DVD in other countries but is currently playing in USA theaters.

If you want confirmation you need to email the parent company of the film.

It IS only for the UK. Icon UK distributes in the UK. For the American Release (as I've said five million times before) ANCHOR BAY HAS THE FILM RIGHTS and Nicholas told me they are planning to go theatrical.

Now can we please stop making pointless crazy threads alarming everyone? We will wait for Anchor Bay to give us they're release plans.

I think it's just in the UK because other countries already has international distributor and the movie will be in theaters soon.
